IPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus remain the most popular smartphones in the US, according to Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, the analytical company for the three-month period that ended in April. The total share of flagship devices was 20.1%. The total share of iPhone in the US market grew by 5.8% over the year and reached 36.5%.
In China, the share of Android for the year increased from 79.1% to 83.4%, and iOS - decreased by 3.8%, to 16.2%. At the same time in the US, Android's share dropped from 67.6% to 61.7%. Despite the decline in the share of iOS in China, sales of Apple smartphones there increased, taking 16.2% of the market against 12.4%.

"In urban China, the iOS share for the three-month period ending in April fell to 16.2% for the year, down 3.8% from the year before. For Apple, this is another period of falling sales in the key market, which began in February 2016, "analysts note.

Over the three-month period that ended in May, Samsung's new flagships accounted for 8.1% of US sales. Sales of South Korean smartphones were lower than forecasts of analysts. For comparison, the previous models in the past year at the same time took 8.8%.
IPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were the best-selling smartphones in the US for the May period. The total share of high-end smartphones Apple was 20.1%.

The share of iOS in the US for the first three months of the year accounted for 36.5% of sales, which is 5.8% more than for the corresponding period last year.

In the EU5 countries (Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Spain) for Android grew to 78.3%, and iOS - to 19.3%.
