The motherboard MSI X299 XPower Gaming AC supports installation of up to five SSD frame size M.2

MSI Company demonstrated at Computex 2017 the X299 XPower Gaming AC motherboard designed to work with Intel processors in the LGA 2066 version. The novelty is remarkable for the support of M.2 drives: they can be installed in the amount of five pieces!
Three slots for SSD M.2 are spread out on a PCB, and two more can be installed in an expansion card with PCIe 3.0 x8 interface. Moreover, to connect the drives, in addition, there is one slot U.2 and ten SATA 6 Gb / s. The manufacturer notes that the board supports different solid-state drives, including Intel Optane and models supporting the NVMe interface and RAID configurations.

Power subsystem MSI X299 XPower Gaming AC is built according to the scheme "12 + 1 + 1 phase", for power supply there are three connectors: twenty-four- and four-pin ATX, as well as eight-pin EPS. Memory slots The standard number for the motherboard on the Intel X299 chipset is eight. To install video cards there are four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (when installing four 3D accelerators, each will receive eight lines of the PCIe interface).
MSI X299 XPower Gaming AC is equipped with a wired network adapter Intel i219-V and built-in module that implements the standards of Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. Of course, there was a customizable RGB backlight.
