Americans consider cigarettes and alcohol more harmful than marijuana
On Wednesday, April 20, representatives of cannabis culture celebrated World Marijuana Day. Shortly before this event, the research center and Marist Poll and the Yahoo portal decided to find out the actual attitude of US residents to a light drug - in the study, 1,122 random residents of different states were asked by phone to use cannabis. To ensure that the data was as objective as possible and most clearly reflected the picture in American society, respondents were selected from different social groups.
What are the details of the survey? More than 70% of Americans are convinced that cannabis is not as harmful to the body as tobacco products and alcohol. At the same time, 52% admitted that they tried marijuana at least once, 22%, that is, every fifth respondent, continues to use it, and every seventh person does it regularly.
